South Africa U 20s v Ireland U 20s Live - 2011 irb junior world championship live - rugby.trueonlinetv.com -

The IRB Junior World Championship is an international rugby union competition. The event is organised by the sport's governing body, the International Rugby Board (IRB), and is contested by 12 men's junior national teams (originally 16), with an under-20 age requirement. The inaugural tournament was held in June 2008, hosted by Wales. This event replaced the IRB's former age-grade world championships, the Under 19 and Under 21 World Championships.
The Junior World Championship is the upper level of a new IRB tournament structure for U-20 national sides. At the same time that the Junior World Championship was launched, the IRB also launched a second-level championship, the IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy, featuring eight teams. In August 2007, Chile was announced as the host of the inaugural Junior World Trophy to be held in Santiago in April 2008. This was followed in November 2007 by announcing Wales as the host for the inaugural Junior World Championship in June 2008.
The 2011 IRB Junior World Championship will be the fourth annual international rugby union competition for Under 20 national teams, this competition replaced the now defunct under 19 and under 21 world championships. The event will be organised by rugby's governing body, theInternational Rugby Board (IRB).
